Several viewers who have made their donations to PM CARES Fund through various methods such as Paytm, Google Pay, SBI, ICICI, etc. have been looking for answers on obtaining receipts against their payments. The primary reason for that being contributions towards PM CARES Fund is notified for 100 percent deduction from taxable income under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Apart from that, donors also simply want to know if their donations have made it to the right place.

“I donated Rupees 5000/- to PM cares on 14th April 2020 by phone pay app. I tried to retrieve a money receipt but failed. I received a mail telling about the steps but I couldn’t understand where to enter the UTR and mobile number?” says Dr Monica Barua Saikia on DataQuest.

“I have contributed Rs. 4999/- through the Paytm portal on 29th March 2020 and it was informed that donation receipts will be provided within 30 days. Can you inform me where can I get the donation receipt? We want to know the authenticity of this project and keep us aware of the appropriate utilisation of money contributed by all donors,” says Sandeep Suresh Kamath.

“I am a retired person. I contributed Rs. 5000/- through Paytm UPI on 12.4.2020 to PM CARES FUND. I do not know whether contribution has been received or not, as no acknowledgment or receipt has been issued to me. Delay in issuing receipt is ok, but I am concerned only whether the contribution sent to the correct account or to a fraud account?” says Samir Chatterjee like many others on DataQuest.
