R Vaidyanathan

executive VP and head (HR)

This year, HCL Tech has fared low (#19) on the employee score. There were

issues on all employee satisfaction parameters except for the dream company,

wherein it secured the #6 position. The company also did fairly well in its HR

score (#5).

HCL Tech's employees enjoyed the highest satisfaction levels in terms of

getting paid at par with industry standards. While 55.8% of the employees

surveyed were satisfied in terms of job security and stability, 41.1% were

satisfied with their career growth opportunity. Satisfaction over salary and

compensation-a concern area last year-persisted this year as well, with

61.1% citing it as the reason for leaving the organization. Another major issue

that HCL Tech will have to contend with: its lowest position in the Top 20 in

terms its employees' respect for the company's work values and ethics.
