Claus Andresen, Senior VP, Head of Cloud Success Services, Asia Pacific & Japan, talked about SAP Cloud Success Services at the recently-held SAP NOW India, in Mumbai. He said that SAP has been in a massively long cloud journey for a while. The focus is appealing to the users. Covid-19 helped accelerate that! In the cloud world, we are in service of the customers.

We ask ourselves: how can we generate more value? We had support engineering department, etc. We decided to bring all the organizations together to bring customer value. It is important that the teams speak together, with each other. We help the customers to make full use. There are other technologies that will benefit them for future use. Hence, we created Cloud Success Services.

According to him, SAP revisited their own offerings. Customers now need help in how to get more best practices, more functions, and features, for business strategy. We know what the customer is using. We see what kind of database are they using.

We also provide recommendations to the customers, and provide a level of foresight. They also get insights on how can they use the system. That will help them to deliver more value to the customers.

From the Cloud Success Services perspective, we have access to product engineering teams. We can see the patterns, and work, based on that. We are here to strengthen the ecosystem. We have had a clear, partner-first strategy. SAP For Me is to service customers more effectively. We give customers what they do not have today! Grow With SAP takes on value realization. We have taken the learner assets available, implementation strategies, etc. We have bundled all that for Grow With SAP. We give access to all our partners.

Preferred Success is a bundle of unique service offerings. It is also scalable and customizable. In the India market, they are using it to get better insights. Cloud Application Services is also a platform. It allows managing the landscape effectively. Gartner had done a study. Today, all this can be done in partnership with our ecosystem.

As per Andresen, Cloud Success Services has a range of service offerings. We have offerings that help customers leverage from the industry best practices. Our role is to fuel the ecosystem. The first preference is to help the customers fill the sweet spot. We also want to create something that complements our customers. E.g., the Mahindra Group was given some insights. We are now helping them to optimize the landscape that they have.

Grow With SAP Is also adding value for the customers and partners ecosystem. He said that we take all the content, and give access to the customers and partners. Partners can be in better service to their customers. It also helps managing the landscape better. We see value in the customers getting greater value realization with SAP.

Businesses can also scale up! For one, businesses can operate their landscape better. Kyocera is an example. If you have a more seamless operating landscape, the operation becomes more efficient. Customers prefer to operate in an environment that is agile and efficient.

Finally, it will also help in upskilling of the market talent. Andersen said that we need to enable the grassroots. Technology can be embedded into the education of the students. We work with partners to help enable the newer technologies. It is an ongoing journey to create the mindshare. We create communities of shared interest. We also have a vibrant user group in India. We get the knowledge spread across the customers and partners. Partners can also enable their own partners with innovation.
