At SAP NOW India, held in Mumbai, GROW with SAP was announced -- a new offering to help mid-size customers adopt cloud ERP that enables speed, predictability, and continuous innovation. GROW with SAP customers get the same best practices powering the world’s industry leaders, while benefiting from rapid deployment and friction-less updates.

GROW with SAP includes SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Customers can define their own processes in a cloud-native way using SAP Build. With SAP Build solutions, business users can create enterprise apps, automate processes, and design business sites without writing code, an important asset for those closest to the business, who can create the solutions they need.

Kulmeet Bawa, President and MD, SAP Indian Subcontinent, stated that they have gathered to announce the Grow With SAP. We look at the tailwinds are from a cloud perspective. Public cloud market is slotted to be $10.6 billion by 2025. It will grow to about $13 billion by 2026, as per IDC.

The pace at which the organizations have started from the pandemic times shows they have understood that cloud can provide them with agility, nimbleness, etc. We can succeed only when our customers succeed! We have more than doubled our cloud clientele. India is one of the largest footprints for the pace of growth. India is shaping this tech-ade, and SAP is part of this movement.

SAP India has over 10,000 customers in the mid-market. With Grow With SAP, we will offer native cloud ERP solutions to customers. We will accelerate the adoption services. Customers can be up and running in a matter of 4-6 weeks. Developers can build IP on our BTP. SAP experts are also there. Industry best practices are all dovetailed into this. We have been contributing to India's growth for the last 25-odd years. The mid-market will be the single biggest growth market in the coming years.

Abhishek Singhvi, Director, Rajasthan Barytes Ltd (RBL), said that there was the myth that SAP is expensive, and is complex to add. We want to implement SAP! That myth was broken completely. We did the implementation in three months. We are a mid-sized company. RBL is a mining and mineral processing company. We work across 12 locations in India.

RBL decided to migrate to SAP last year. SAP had implemented many projects, and, also had the industry expertise.

According to him, RBL is a fast-growing company, growing at 30-35% each year. We wanted all the data that we needed. We needed that data to be real-time across all locations. We also wanted to be a data-driven organization. We wanted to make our factories smart across all locations. They are all IoT-based, and integrated with SAP.

Bawa said 80% of their clientele is in the mid-market. We are dealing with mission-critical systems of organizations. People are realizing the value that SAP provides. We have a strong partner strategy. We have a huge ecosystem, and are investing in that. It will also help us get into tier-2 and -3 cities.

He added that the regulated pieces can be more stringent. We cater for that! A lot of our solutions run on hyperscalers and data centers within the country.

SAP is today, a true-blue cloud company. We are seeing that a large part of mid-market companies clearly understand what they are doing. Sustainability is weaved into that. We are the first stop for many companies.

Singhvi noted that there a couple of factors. For example, there are hundreds of SMEs supporting a paint company. They are growing at the same pace as the corporate.

Bawa asserted that there can be a cloud-native ERP moving very quickly. BTP Build is where they can build the domain expertise. We are growing at the pace we are growing! People are also looking at the value being provided. Among the 26 industry verticals that SAP India serves, it is very strong in utilities, manufacturing, CPG, etc.
