Great Learning has launched the ‘Applied Data Science Bootcamp’, an online program in collaboration with faculty members from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Institute of Data, Systems, and Society (MIT IDSS) for learners globally. This 12-week online program is for students and working professionals who aim to develop skills in Data Science and Machine Learning. Co-developed and delivered live by MIT IDSS faculty and Great Learning, the program will be delivered on the Great Learning platform.
Mohan Lakhamraju, Founder and CEO, Great Learning said: “We are very excited to offer this cutting-edge program in Data Science together with experts from a globally top-ranked university like MIT. Very few people are fortunate enough to be able to experience the magic of learning from the world’s best faculty. This program will give learners an opportunity to experience that and to learn from the very best on our planet. It fulfils our mission to enable learners everywhere to transform their careers through high quality learning”.
The Live Online Classes will be conducted by five highly renowned MIT faculty members. Additionally, learners will have live, personalised mentorship and hands-on support through Great Learning Data Science practitioners focused on equipping learners with the requisite knowledge and skills to apply data science in practice. The 12-week program also includes 6 hands-on projects and a 3-week Capstone Project, giving the participants applied, practical experience. The participants of this program, on successful completion, will receive a certificate of completion.
Learners opting for this program will be able to explore two major realms of Machine Learning - Deep Learning and Neural Networks - applicable for solving complex business problems. The program begins with foundational modules in Python and Statistical Science, then moves on to the core curriculum and practical projects covering Time Series Analysis, Recommendation Engines, Regressions, Neural Networks, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.
Devavrat Shah, Faculty at MIT IDSS said: “The mission of IDSS is to support data science education not only at MIT, but around the world. This Applied Data Science Bootcamp, led by MIT faculty and available entirely online via collaboration with Great Learning, offers a crash course in the skills needed to empower learners and organizations of all kinds to derive meaningful insights from available data.”
