Government of India will soon offer an online postgraduate diploma in Cyber Law, Cybercrime Investigations and Digital Forensics for professionals looking to gain skills to deal with Cyber Forensics Cases efficiently and effectively as per the Indian Cyber Law while adopting global best practices, standards and guidelines using the digital transformation.

The online postgraduate programme, which is 9 months long, was launched in the presence of Ajay Sawhney, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, MS Rao, IAS, Chief Secretary and State Vigilance Commissioner, Government of Meghalaya, Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, Secretary, Ministry of Law, G Raghuram, Hon'ble Justice (Retd.), Director, National Judicial Academy,  (Dr.) V Vijayakumar, Vice-Chancellor, National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, and Abhishek Singh, IAS, President and CEO, NeGD and CEO, MyGov.

Who can take the Online Postgraduate Diploma by Government of India?

The course is most suited for police officers, state cyber cells, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and judicial officers. The course will be offered through the Digital India’ learning management system. The course is being introduced to tackle the phenomenal increase in cybercrimes over the past few years.

NeGD, under the Digital India Programme, has taken this initiative to offer the postgraduate programme in a phased manner to 1000 officials. This programme will be conducted in collaboration with NLIU (Bhopal) and other law schools and universities like National Law University (Delhi), National Law School of India University (Bangalore), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (Patiala), and so on.

NeGD has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The National Law Institute University, Bhopal and National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) to collaborate for this programme.
