Google scholarship 2023 has been announced for female students pursuing computer science. The Generation Google Scholarship for women in computer science was initiated with an intent to help female students pursuing computer science degrees to excel in their fields and become digital leaders. Those selected will receive a fund of $2500 for the academic year 2023-2024.

Who Can Apply for Google Scholarship 2023?

The official website says that candidates with the following qualifications may apply for the Generation Google Scholarship:

  • Full-time second or third year undergraduate students from recognised universities for the 2022-2023 academic year.
  • Students must have opted for be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Applicants must have a strong academic record.
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.
  • Prospective participants will also be required to take part in Google’s Online Challenge that will assess for coding skills

Students from Which Countries are Eligible to Apply for Google Scholarship 2023?

Students with an intent to complete their Bachelor’s program from accredited universities from the following countries may apply for the Google Scholarship 2023:

  • Australia.
  • New Zealand.
  • India.
  • Taiwan.
  • Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

How to Apply for Google Scholarship 2023?

The online applications for the Generation Google Scholarship will begin in April 2023, and students will need to have the following documents ready:

  • Information on the students such as current and intended universities, and the contact information.
  • Resume of the students.
  • Academic transcripts from the current institution.
  • Responses to short answer essay questions.
  • Applicants need to take part in the Google Online Challenge, for which an initiation will be sent 5 to 7 working days post the application deadline.
