With Google finally catching up to OpenAI's ChatGPT through Google Bard, after the competitor had a head start last year, the search giant is now trying to extend its generative AI portfolio by offering additional AI tools that might provide consumers life advice. According to a report, Google may keep ahead of competitors like Microsoft-backed OpenAI, Meta, and Amazon. Furthermore, the corporation may want to begin entrusting AI with "sensitive tasks."
Google is also said to have recruited Scale AI, a contractor that works with the Google DeepMind team. According to two unnamed individuals, the "assembled teams" in charge of evaluating the capabilities currently include more than 100 industry specialists with doctorates in various fields.
What is Google's new Strategy?
This new Strategy, however, appears to contradict the company's attitude, which was given to Google executives in December, to avoid becoming emotionally connected with chatbots, as this may result in a "loss of agency." The responsible team is testing the "assistant's ability to answer intimate questions" and questions regarding "challenges in people's lives."
This "personal" generative AI's capabilities include answering highly personal questions, such as how to inform a friend that you cannot attend their wedding. Google's existing PaLM 2-based chatbot—Google Bard—is reported to be prohibited from providing financial, medical, and legal advice to its customers, but this might be changing as Google gradually builds the new 'personal' AI tools—although plans are subject to change, as they usually are.
What is an AI Mentor?
An AI mentor works relentlessly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to give guidance and insights matched directly to an individual's requirements and aspirations. This digital mentor provides fast solutions, advice, and resources across a wide range of areas by using large reservoirs of information and up-to-date expertise. Its neutrality ensures its unbiased perspective and its capacity to analyse data patterns and individual growth promotes data-driven decision-making.
An AI mentor teaches and adjusts to the user's learning style, speed, and preferences, resulting in a personalised learning experience. It reduces geographical barriers by being accessible via numerous platforms, allowing consumers globally to benefit from its assistance. As AI advances, the notion of an AI tool serving as a personal mentor offers enormous promise for encouraging lifelong learning, skill advancement, and personal growth on a previously imagined scale.
