Google Announces Competition for Students, Winner to Receive Rs 500,000 Scholarship

Doodle 4 Google the national winner will receive Rs 500,000 college scholarship and Rs 200,000 technology package for their school

Google has announced the ‘Doodle 4 Google’ contest for art loving students from Class 1 to 10 from across the country. The winner will have the privilege of having his artwork displayed on the main page of Google on Children's’ day, which is 14 November, where millions of people can view and appreciate it.

All the students need to do is look around them for inspiration for the theme is “What Inspires You?” and incorporate g-o-o-g-l-e in their artwork. The art can be done using colors, clay, paint or graphic design. To enter the contest, students need to download the application form, draw the doodle and then submit it. The last date for submission is 6 October 2018 at 10 pm IST.

The judges of the contest are Ryan Germick (Team Lead, Doodle), Harun Robert (Famous as Rob, YouTuber, TV Celebrity, Art and Craft Wizard), Arun Iyer (Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Lintas), and Sejal Kumar (India’s leading female YouTube Creator). Jury votes will be used to identify top 20 doodles, which will be put up for public voting from 23 October to 5 November 2018, where public will be allowed to vote for their favorite doodle.

Along with the winning doodle being features on Google for a day, the national winner will receive Rs 500,000 college scholarship and Rs 200,000 technology package for their school. Students can start entering their doodle at doodles.google.co.in/d4g.
