Global VideoCom unveils ASP videoconferencing

Global VideoCom Group, PSINet and 1414c, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Picturetel Corp have come together to provide ‘video-on-the.net,’ a business-quality web-based videoconferencing service.

1414c has provided Global VideoCom with its technology platform, which Global VideoCom will make available through a cost-effective ASP model to its customers. Under the terms of the alliance, Global VideoCom integrates 1414c’ conferencing application to provide the service, which uses PSINet’s hosting centers and network. Video-on-the.net enables companies to host multi-user videoconferences using high-speed IP networks.
