GATE 2021 Examinations End, List of Organisations That Will Soon Recruit Engineers through Its Scores

GATE 2021 examinations have ended, and the results will be announced on 22 March 2021. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) concluded the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) on 14 February 2021 in two shifts. While IIT Bombay was the organising body of GATE 2021, other IITs such as IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee and IIT Madras were also involved in conducting the examinations. Although GATE 2021 is a national-level entrance exam, its scores are used by various organisations to recruit meritorious engineers.

While some organisations have already issued notifications stating that they would be recruiting engineers based on the GATE 2021 scores, others are expected to issue notices shortly. Selected candidates will be given a salary in the Grade E2 which amounts from Rs 60,000 to 1,80,000 per month. The positions for which candidates are hired for based on their GATE 2021 scores are Executive Trainees, Scientist B, and so on.

Organisations That Use GATE 2021 Scores to Recruit Engineers

GAIL Recruitment 2021: GAIL is currently accepting applications from engineers who have attempted GATE 2021 examinations and have a valid registration number. There are 25 Executive Trainee vacancies available for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in the year 2020 or candidates who are currently in the final year of their engineering degree course in the discipline of Chemical and Instrumentation engineering. DRDO Recruitment 2021: The Defence Research and Development Organisation will soon issue a notification to recruit engineers for Scientist B vacancies based on their GATE scores. “All the aspirants are therefore advised to ensure that they possess a valid GATE qualification (for GATE disciplines) and a NET qualification for Associate Professor (for Psychology discipline) while applying for future vacancies,” says the notification available on the RAC website.

PGCIL Recruitment 2021: Powergrid Corporation of India Limited will issue on 15 March 2021 a notification to engage engineers for the vacancies of Executive Trainees who have attempted ET (Electrical) EE, ET (Electronics) EC, and ET (Civil) CE papers of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, and have a Bachelor’s degree in  Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering or Power Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Electrical Communication or Telecommunication Engineering, and Civil Engineering. IOCL Recruitment 2021: The Indian Oil Corporation Limited had in October last year announced its intent to hire engineers for the positions of Officers/Engineers through GATE 2021 scores. Along with the scores, candidates should have a full-time BE or BTech in Chemical, Civil, Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
