GATE 2020 Admit Card To Be Released Shortly: Here is All You Need to Know

GATE 2020 Admit Card is being released in a short while now by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). According to the official website, the GATE 2020 admit card will be available in the online application portal for printing by Friday, 3 January 2020.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

GATE scores are often required by highly reputed institutions in India, including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), for higher studies, scholarships as well as for employment to scientist and research posts.

The GATE score would reflect the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of examination data and the score is valid for 3 Years from the date of announcement of the results.

How to Download the GATE 2020 Admit Card and All You Need to Know

The GATE 2020 Admit Card will be available on the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The Gate 2020 examination will be held on 1, 2, 8, and 9 February 2020. To download the admit card from GOAPS, the following steps need to be taken:

  1. Visit the official website: http://appsgate.iitd.ac.in/.
  2. There will be a link that says GATE 2020 Admit Card Available from which the admit card needs to be downloaded by entering the enrollment ID and password.
  3. No printed copy of the Admit Cards will be posted to the candidates.
  4. No request for any changes in the Centre or Date/Time specified in the Admit Card will be entertained.
  5. On the examination day, the candidate must bring the original ID proof along with the GATE 2020 Admit Card.
  6. The Admit Card is valid if and ONLY if the candidate's photograph and signature images are clear and legible.
  7. The photograph on the Admit Card and that in the valid photo identity document should match with the appearance of the candidate on the day of examination.
  8. Admit Card needs to be printed preferably on an A4 sized paper using a laser printer and a color printer.
  9. No soft copies of the GATE 2020 Admit Card will be entertained.
