Former Oracle Chief is Solix's New President

Solix Technologies, a provider of Information Lifecycle Management

solutions, has formally announced the joining of Shekhar Dasgupta as its

president and COO. Prior to joining Solix, Dasgupta was managing director at

Oracle India. In his long tenure at Oracle, Shekhar held various positions

including that of alliances director, country manager, and subsequently as the

managing director. He had been responsible for growing Oracle India from the

10th to the 5th position in Asia Pacific division, including Japan. One of his

key initiatives included establishing the Oracle-HP e-Governance Center of

Excellence. A deep understanding and unbiased analysis of macro economic

scenario and its impact on businesses, is his forte. He holds a Post Graduate

Diploma in Management (PGDM) from IIM-Bangalore and Economic Honors from

Presidency College. He also attended an Executive Management Programme at the

INSEAD Asia School in Singapore.
