California based FCG (First Consulting Group) Software took over Paragon Inc, a specialist in healthcare software in February last year. FCG is a midsize software company that focuses on the healthcare segment and counts pharma majors such as Roche and Johnson and Johnson as its customers. Paragon's Indian subsidiary and development facility in Bangalore, now FCG Software Services, almost doubled in size in 2004 to 381 professionals. The company is now expanding its product development and projects into managing applications used by pharma clients in the West.
