A recent Assocham-Deloitte joint study has stated that the global eCommerce industry generates over $1.2 million in revenue every 30 seconds with Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter contributing $5,483, $4,504 and $4,308 respectively
The report says that social networks have been instrumental in contributing revenues for eCommerce players by not only building brand awareness but also assisting in users to create product recommendations. The huge popularity of platforms like Facebook also make it a huge platform for generating online sales, said the study.
