EY and DSCI to Host 12 Hour Cybersecurity Hackathon

With EY as the Security Hackathon Partner for the 13th edition of AISS, the summit will delve into cybersecurity trends, threats and emphasize on its import

EY, the leading global professional services organization, and Data Security Council of India (DSCI), announced plans to host a Cybersecurity Hackathon focused on recognising and rewarding technical talent from industry and academia. The 12-hour hackathon will be held on 03 December at the NASSCOM Campus in Noida, presenting an opportunity to students, researchers, developers, testers, SOC/CDC teams, red/blue teams and product security teams to demonstrate their cyber security talent.

DSCI has been working towards strengthening the pool of Cybersecurity talent in the country and the hackathon is aimed at encouraging and inspiring young talent to pursue careers in this domain. Inviting enthusiasts from the technical fraternity, the Hackathon will challenge participants to simulate a data breach targeting an organization and will feature a diverse set of tasks ranging from Cryptography, Web Application Hacking, Network Based Hacking, Forensics, Reverse Engineering and Scenario Based Hacking.

EY-DSCI Cyber Security Hackathon will commence on Monday, 3 December 2018 at NASSCOM Campus, Sector 126, Noida with 50+ teams from Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Jalandhar, Coimbatore, Goa, Indore, Tirupati among others. Felicitation of a winner and two runner-ups  will be done on 5 December 2018 at the annual DSCI Excellence Awards ceremony at Leela Palace, Gurugram organised on the sidelines of the NASSCOM – DSCI Annual Information Security Summit . EY is leading a discussion on the strategies that organizations need to implement for cyber defence or incident management at the Security Summit.

With EY as the Security Hackathon Partner for the 13th edition of AISS, the summit will delve into ‘Cybersecurity’ trends, threats and emphasize on its important role in accelerating India’s digital transformation journey.
