Polaris to Set Up CoE for SAP Solutions
Polaris Software Lab, a Nasscom Top 10 company and the leader in Specialty
Application Development in banking, financial and insurance sector, has
announced that it has set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) to serve the
ever-increasing demand from retail banking customers that are using SAP
solutions. Polaris new CoE will support business process platform for banking
from SAP and subsequently collaborate in implementations and consulting.
Ctrl S pioneers Indias First Tier IV Data Center
Sitaram Yechury of the CPI (M) has inaugurated Indias first tier-IV Data Center
built by Ctrl S Data Centers at Hyderabad. Dr J Geeta Reddy, Minister for Major
Industries, Sugar, Commerce and Exports Promotion, Andhra Pradesh, was the guest
of honor on the occasion. Ctrl S Data Centers is promoted by the Rs 500 crore
Pioneer Group along with other investors.
IBM Announces New Global Delivery Center
IBM has significantly expanded its operations in the state of Uttar Pradesh
with the inauguration of a new Global Delivery Center in Noida by Dr Subas C
Pani, IAS, secretary, Planning Commission, Government of India. This is IBM
Global Business Services first such center in Noida; and, in phase two of the
expansion; IBM will open another center in the vicinity, which is expected to be
fully operational by mid-2008. Both the centers are located at Sector 62, and
will house close to 3,000 employees once fully staffed.
AMDs Lab in Hyderabad
AMD and the American India Foundation (AIF) have announced the launch of the
first Learning Lab in Hyderabad at the Government Girls High School, West
Marredpally. The Learning Lab reiterates AMDs commitment to connect 50% of the
worlds population to the Internet by 2015 under the aegis of its 50x15
Initiative.
Sify in Managed Services
Sify Technologies has announced the launch of its managed security services with
the setting up of the Security Operations Center in Bangalore to power the
service. With this launch, Sify will offer its enterprise customers the entire
suite of managed security services, including 24x7 monitoring and management of
security devices.
CSS Facility in Poland
Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), provider of technology operations management
services, has announced that it has set up a nearshore tech support facility in
Wroclaw, Poland. This is CSSs first facility in Europe and will provide
multilingual tech support to two global players in the telecom space.
SAP India Strides in 2007
SAP India has announced that it continued rapid growth in client acquisition
in FY 2007. The company increased its total number of customers to 3,024,
registering an increase of more than 100%. At the end of FY 2006 the company had
1,350 customers.

Telelogic has announce the launch of its Product Evaluation Lab in Bangalore.
Making the announcement at the MAIT Conference in Chennai, Sidharth Malik, the
companys managing director (India and SAARC), said the center would help SMBs
