SITEL Contact Center in Gurgaon
Contact center services provider SITEL has launched its operations in
Gurgaon. Safir Adeni, CEO, SITEL India, said, "We are excited to launch
SITEL India's fifth and the largest contact center in Gurgaon, one of the most
prominent outsourcing and offshoring hubs in India. We are planning to bring on
an additional 4, 000 people in the next two years as part of our strategic
growth plans in India."
Digital Infotech to Head Southwards
Digital Infotech is looking at new development centers in South India and
has shortlisted Chennai and Mysore as possible venues. "Decision is
expected by mid of this year," said Aditya Sharma, managing director, India
operations. Digital Infotech has recently started a CoE for Java and expects to
kick start its first ODC for Java with 30-35 people by next month.
Freescale Opens Design Center in Noida
Freescale Semiconductor inaugurated its new 300,000 sq ft semiconductor design
center in Noida as part of its ongoing expansion plans for India. "India is
a vital part of Freescale's long-term growth strategy and we are committed to
growing our operations here," said Michel Mayer, chairman and CEO,
Freescale during the inauguration.
WeP at High Court
WeP Peripherals has announced launch of its Bizberry Print&Save Center at

Canon Launches MSCs
Canon India has announced the inauguration of its Master
Service Centers in Mumbai and Gurgaon. Spread over 2,000 sq ft each,
these are the first Canon owned camera repair and service centers designed

IBM Research to Expand
IBM has plans to expand its operations at its IBM India Research Laboratory,
one of the eight labs of IBM Research across the globe. As part of this
expansion, IBM India Research Laboratory has moved to a larger facility in the
Vasant Kunj Institutional Area, New Delhi.
Perot in Manila
Perot Systems has inaugurated its facility at the Enterprise Center in Metro
Manila, Philippines. The center is a landmark in its own right and it has taken
two floors of the building. Vardhman Jain, managing director of the
Perot Systems' Insurance and Business Process Solutions group in India, would
be responsible for the Manila operations as well.

products for the Indian power market and partnering with Rajdeep Energies. Tripp

now be available in India through Rajdeep Energies.
