Infotech Starts Operations in Japan
Infotech Enterprises (IEL), a technology solutions provider with global
headquarters in Hyderabad, launched its Japan operations. It is leading its
Japanese foray with engineering services, while it is conducting market research
to study the market and offer other services as well. With over $100 mn in
revenue from engineering design services, Infotech is the leading focused global
provider in its markets.
Netgear to Open Service Centers in India
Netgear is planning to open service centers in India that will support its
entire range of Netgear products, addressing replacement and warranty issues of
products within 24-48 hours. In the first phase it would launch service centers
across seven major business cities, namely, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai,
Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. And further, in the second phase,
the focus would be on B- and C-class cities.
CSS Enters Middle East IT Market
Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), a Chennai-based provider in tech support,
software testing, and remote infrastructure management (RIM) services, has
forayed into the Middle East IT services market, with specific focus on Muscat
and Dubai. It kicked off its expansion in the Middle East region with
performance engineering deals from two of the largest banks in the region.
Microsoft IDC Turns 10
Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy recently inaugurated
Microsoft India Development Centers (MSIDC) new building at its campus in
Hyderabad, coinciding with its 10th year of operations. MSIDC is Microsofts
largest product development center outside its headquarters in Redmond, US.
Infosys New Campus
Infosys Technologies has commenced work on its second campus at Pocharam in
Hyderabad. The campus will be developed in three phases and will be spread over
447 acres with a total investment of Rs 1,250 crore. It is expected to
accommodate over 25,000 people and will be completed over a period of 10 years.
The work of the first phase, with an initial investment of Rs 600 crore will
commence soon.
Quinnox Expands in Mumbai
Quinnox has recently announced the expansion of its Mumbai offshore
development center at SEEPZ, Mumbai. The new facility spread over a 7,500 sq ft
area is part of an overall expansion plan to accommodate the companys rapid
growth and the employee base. It will also provide world-class facilities for
business and software development, acting as an offshore development unit for
the companys Fortune listed clients.
Lawson Software Launches India Office
Lawson Software recently announced its expansion into the South Asia market
with the opening of a new office in India. The global provider of enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solutions and applications has set up the New Delhi
office as part of its strategy to build its presence in the region, and to
attract additional regional partners to better serve customers.
Singapore is New Apac HQ of Secure Computing
Secure Computing announced that its Singapore office has been appointed as
its new Asia-Pacific headquarters to support growing customer demand across the
region for the companys network, messaging, and Web gateway security solutions,
as well as its identity and access management products. The new Apac
headquarters will serve customers and partners throughout the region including
Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, China, India, and all of the
territories in between.
