Nutanix hosted its flagship event, .NEXT on Tour, in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in its India’s journey toward digital transformation. The event brought together Nutanix’s leadership, partners, and customers to showcase how the company is driving the adoption of hybrid multicloud solutions and fostering innovation across sectors.
Balancing Performance and Sustainability in Hybrid Multicloud Deployments
Nutanix responding to a question from Dataquest on harmonizing performance with sustainability, Daryush Ashjari, CTO & VP of Solution Engineering for APJ at Nutanix, highlighted the company’s innovative approach to minimizing environmental impact. He said: "A hybrid multicloud environment combines on-prem data centers, edge infrastructure, and public-private cloud solutions. Nutanix ensures flexibility, performance, and sustainability across this entire landscape."
He further pointed to findings from Nutanix’s 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. Customers using Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure reported an average 70% reduction in physical footprint and a 50% decrease in energy consumption, which directly contributes to minimizing carbon emissions. This showcases how hybrid multicloud solutions can align with organizational ESG goals without compromising performance.
Scalability and Flexibility at the Core of Innovation
When asked about managing scalability and flexibility in a multicloud future, Ashjari emphasized Nutanix’s DNA of adaptability. "Scalability and flexibility have been integral to Nutanix since our inception. We enable this through a common operating environment and a unified control plane for both virtual machines and containerized workloads," he explained.
This approach empowers organizations to seamlessly run applications and manage data anywhere, ensuring that businesses remain agile in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
India’s Growing Importance to Nutanix
India has emerged as one of Nutanix’s top-performing markets globally, with businesses increasingly embracing the company’s hybrid cloud solutions. Andrew Brinded, Chief Revenue Officer at Nutanix, highlighted the country’s rapid adoption of cloud-first strategies during the event’s keynote session, “Nutanix for Naya Bharat.”
Brinded noted that Nutanix’s partnerships with key players like Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and AMD have accelerated the deployment of its solutions, including the Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV). This hypervisor offers businesses cost savings without sacrificing functionality, making it an attractive option for Indian enterprises transitioning to modern, agile infrastructures.
Nutanix’s impact on India’s digital transformation was exemplified by its collaborations with major organizations. Apollo Pharmacies, for instance, has deployed Nutanix Kubernetes technology to power AI-driven innovations like GPT-based applications, revolutionizing healthcare for over 200 million people in India.
In the financial sector, HighRadius, a leader in automating CFO office operations, leveraged Nutanix’s hybrid cloud solutions to achieve significant cost savings and operational efficiency. By adopting bare-metal Nutanix servers within AWS for database services, HighRadius reduced costs by 40% while enhancing infrastructure performance.
Expanding Strategic Collaborations
At the event, Nutanix also announced an expanded partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate cloud migration. This collaboration aims to simplify IT modernization for businesses, making it easier to integrate public cloud solutions with private infrastructures while maintaining a seamless user experience.
Additionally, Nutanix introduced Enterprise AI (NAI), a cloud-native AI infrastructure platform that supports AI workloads across Kubernetes platforms, edge environments, and public clouds like AWS and Google Cloud. NAI enables organizations to deploy and scale large language models (LLMs) efficiently, paving the way for next-generation AI applications.
Empowering Partners with the Elevate Program
Nutanix’s channel-first approach was another key focus of the event. The Elevate Partner Program is designed to support and reward its partner ecosystem, ensuring that resellers and managed service providers are well-equipped to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This program includes comprehensive training, robust incentives, and expanded learning opportunities to help partners leverage Nutanix Cloud Platform solutions effectively. The 2025 version of the program also introduces enhanced benefits such as Outperformance Rebates and refined program structures to recognize high-performing partners.
Looking Ahead: Nutanix’s Vision for India
Nutanix’s leadership emphasized its long-term commitment to India’s burgeoning tech ecosystem. The company plans to further drive AI adoption, expand its hybrid cloud offerings, and continue supporting government and public sector projects that are critical to India’s digital infrastructure.
As Nutanix positions itself as a catalyst for innovation, its solutions are not only simplifying IT operations but also empowering industries to unlock new opportunities for growth. With its ecosystem-driven approach and customer-centric vision, Nutanix is set to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s digital future.
In Brinded’s words, “India’s passion for technology and rapid adoption make it one of our best markets for driving growth in emerging areas.”
