Uttar Pradesh-based Pavna Industries has entered into a joint venture with Taiwan-based SmartChip Microelectronic Corporation (SMC) to boost EV technology in India, and grow into new high-growth markets.
Pavna Industries will hold 80% equity in the JV, while SMC will have a 20% stake.
Under the agreement, Pavna will bring its operational, manufacturing, and procurement expertise, and its deep understanding of the Indian automotive market, to oversee and manage the JV’s operations.
Pavna Industries is a manufacturer of automotive parts, including ignition switches, fuel tank caps, latches, and more. The joint venture with SmartChip Microelectronic Corp. (SMC) to develop electric vehicle technology in India.
Pavna Industries has manufacturing plants in Aligarh, Pune, and Waluj. They emphasize on quality assurance, and have an integrated management system to ensure compliance with industry standards. Pavna Industries was founded in 1971.
