Infineon and SIHUB to foster innovation in Vietnam’s startup ecosystem

Infineon Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Startup and Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB). This strategic partnership aims to drive innovation and collaboration in the fields of mobility, energy and the Internet of Things (IoT), while reinforcing Vietnam’s growing position as a vibrant hub for startups.

As the Vietnamese government actively promotes innovation and entrepreneurship, recent trends indicate a surge in local startups, particularly in technology and sustainable solutions. This collaboration aligns with national objectives to enhance the country’s innovation capacity and support the development of homegrown businesses that can compete on a global scale.

"This partnership represents an important step in our commitment to promoting open collaboration and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs in Vietnam. By combining Infineon’s semiconductor expertise with SIHUB’s local knowledge and support, we aim to empower Vietnamese startups to drive sustainable technological advancements and address pressing local and global challenges,” said Francis Foo, Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Head for Industrial & Infrastructure (I2) and Consumer, Computing & Communication (C3) Sales Segment, Infineon Technologies.

The MoU outlines a framework for cooperation that focuses on sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices to support promising startups within Vietnam. Both parties are dedicated to selecting and fostering startups that align with the Vietnamese government’s innovation goals, particularly those focused on digital transformation and advanced manufacturing.
