The Jingjiawei JM1100 Ecosystem Cooperation Promotion Conference (Changsha), themed "Independent Chip Creation and Ecosystem Co-construction," recently concluded successfully. The conference brought together leaders from across the industry chain, renowned scholars, and representatives from upstream and downstream companies.

Focusing on Jingjiawei's proprietary next-generation GPU architecture, the JM1100, they discussed breakthroughs in independent chip technology and practical paths to ecosystem implementation. The conference aimed to establish a platform for mutually beneficial cooperation, pooling the wisdom and strength of all parties involved, fostering collaborative innovation, and injecting powerful "core" power into the digital transformation of numerous industries.

Discussing the ecosystem and looking forward to future of domestically-produced chips
In his opening remarks, Jingjiawei Deputy General Manager Huang Jian stated that in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, only by working closely with partners can we create a new domestic GPU ecosystem. He stated that Jingjiawei will always adhere to its original aspiration of independent innovation, striving to create high-performance, highly reliable domestic GPU products. He also stated that Jingjiawei will work with numerous ecosystem partners to implement more complete solutions across numerous industries, empowering digital transformation.

Yang Yiyi, Director of the Changsha National Chain Secure and Reliable Computer Industry Promotion Center, attended the event and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the success of a chip isn't solely the achievement of a single company; it relies on the collaborative efforts of the entire industry chain and the thriving symbiosis of the ecosystem.

The Changsha National Chain Secure and Reliable Computer Industry Cluster will fully leverage its role as a "connector" and "booster," vigorously promoting the deep integration of the JM1100 with a wider range of outstanding software and hardware products, and developing a series of replicable and scalable benchmark solutions. Furthermore, the cluster will work with cluster companies and partners to promote the deep integration and coordinated development of innovation, industry, and talent chains.

Liu Xusheng, Secretary-General of the Hunan Geographic Information Industry Association, elaborated on the significance of domestically produced GPUs from the perspective of the geographic information industry. He stated that Jingjiawei, a leading domestic GPU R&D company rooted in Hunan, boasts the powerful performance of its independently developed JM1100 chip, which efficiently drives core industry applications such as GIS platforms, remote sensing processing software, and 3D rendering engines, providing a reliable computing power foundation for innovative breakthroughs in geographic information technology.

Secretary-General Liu emphasized that today's launch is more than just the launch and promotion of a single chip; it is also a key initiative to break the monopoly of foreign technology, safeguard national geographic information security, and ensure the security of the industry's supply chain. It also presents a new opportunity to promote the deep integration of chips and graphics in local industries.

Demonstrating "core" strength and "new" ecology
Shan Jinkui, Jingjiawei's product R&D director, took the theme of "Co-construction of Jingjiawei's "Core" Product Ecosystem" to give an in-depth interpretation of the product features and industry application solutions of Jingjiawei's GPU-JM1100, and revealed the development direction of the next generation of products.

Shan Jinkui introduced the JM1100, Jingjiawei's fourth-generation high-performance graphics processing GPU with proprietary intellectual property rights. From chip IP, hardware design, software development, to video memory usage, Jingjiawei maintains complete control over its entire product range, achieving 100% domestic production.

Technically, the product utilizes the latest generation of independently-designed core architecture and supports multiple graphics APIs, including OpenGL 4.6, OpenGL ES 3.2, WebGL 2.0, Vulkan 1.3, and DirectX 11, as well as the OpenCL 3.0 compute API, meeting the graphics processing and computing needs of diverse scenarios.

Furthermore, the JM1100 boasts numerous key features: hardware virtualization, including pass-through and sharding virtualization, for flexible resource allocation; support for H.265 YUV444 lossless encoding, ensuring distortion-free images and sharper visuals; and compatibility with Windows, Linux, and domestic operating systems, enhancing its adaptability.

The JM1100 has a wide range of applications. In particular, it supports YUV444 ultra-high definition in the cloud desktop space, providing an excellent user experience. It can also empower industries such as industrial design, 3D geographic information, digital twins, surveying and mapping, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence, injecting high-performance computing power into the domestic computing ecosystem.

Ecosystem partners
Ecological partners on site also delivered valuable keynote speeches, showcasing the application results and cooperation potential of JM1100 in different industry fields.

Guo Xiao, Chairman of Anchao Cloud, presented the results of the collaboration between Anchao Cloud and Jingjia Micro in a speech titled "Experience Leap, Worry-Free Security—JM11 Series Graphics Cards Empower Anchao Cloud's High-Performance Desktop Solution."

He noted that the solution's server supports the JM11's dual modes of "GPU pass-through + vGPU," compatible with a variety of domestic CPUs such as Feiteng, Kunpeng, and Hygon, as well as Kylin and Tongxin operating systems. The client supports JM91 graphics acceleration, enabling flexible adaptation to a variety of terminal scenarios, truly achieving a full-link trusted innovation platform from "terminal to server to cloud platform."

In his keynote speech, Zhou Wei, Central China Sales Director of Guoyao Xintiandi, focused on the GIS industry and shared how domestic GPUs are unlocking a new, efficient ecosystem within the sector. Using real-world examples, he delved into typical application scenarios within the GIS industry and the crucial role that the graphics processing capabilities of domestic GPUs play in geographic data processing, map rendering, and spatial analysis. This provided the audience with a more intuitive understanding of the JM1100's application value in the GIS field.

Ma Jingsi, terminal product manager at China Electronics Great Wall, spoke at a conference titled "Building a 'Core' Great Wall on the Hunan Voyage," expressing the determination of China Electronics Great Wall and partners like Jingjiawei to advance together.
