Epson's latest printers designed to save costs

Digital imaging company Epson today announced the launch of its new M-series range of Mono Ink Tank Inkjet printers.

The M-series range of monochrome inkjet printers are for corporates who primarily print black and white documents, and who demand the lowest running costs possible along with crisp print quality.

The new business inkjet models launched today are Epson M100- Single function mono ink tank system printer with black pigment ink, and Epson M200- All-in-one mono ink tank system printer with black pigment ink.

Epson says its M-series printers can print at just one third the cost of even low quality refilled laser toners used in laser printers. That's just 12 paise a page for black & white prints, and Epson claims no laser printer can match this level of printing economy. Epson says it also understands that Indian corporates need printers that save electricity, and the M series uses one fourth of the electricity of equivalent laser printers. For cost and environmentally conscious organizations this can amount to a lot.

These new business inkjet printers will help Epson in achieving an important goal of the company's midterm strategy to 2015 - which is to grow its business printing market with inkjet models that match or outperform similarly priced laser printers and offer customers up to unbeatable cost per page.

A legacy of success: Building on the success of Epson's L-series colour ink tank system printers, the new Epson M100 and M200 Monochrome ink tank system printers now provide business users a superior alternative to monochrome laser printers of similar price.

Better-than-laser speed - The two Epson M-series printers achieve a laser quality speed of 15ppm that matches entry-level laser printers. Additionally, they also offer a very high speed draft printing mode of 34ppm that such laser printers typically do not possess.
