	Inkjets saw a healthy growth rate of 83% Sustained its DMP revenues Strong retail push on the cards in 2003-04

A 100% subsidiary of Epson Singapore PTE, Epson India ended fiscal 2003 with
4% growth, compared to a printer segment growth rate of 8% during the year.
Revenues came mostly from dot matrix and inkjet printers, which contributed Rs
85 crore and Rs 45 crore, respectively. Epson saw substantial growth in inkjet
printer sales, having been aggressive on the price front here, apart from
targeting upcountry markets. A greater retail push is in the offing in the
current fiscal.
