Emerson Network Power Introduces Five-in-One Design for DCIM

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson has introduced two new models in the Avocent Universal Management Gateway family.

The Avocent Universal Management Gateway is a core component of Emerson's data center infrastructure management (DCIM) portfolio, combining KVM, serial console, rack PDU, embedded service processor and environmental management into a single appliance.

The appliance reduces the complexity of deploying various hardware systems for alerts, telemetry, environmental sensors, and device access and control that leads to reducing costs and increasing overall data center efficiency.

"When combined with DCIM software, this multi-functional device delivers comprehensive, real-time infrastructure management capabilities for the data center," said Steve Hassell, president of the Avocent business of Emerson Network Power.
