DRDO scholarship 2022 for girls has been announced, and applications are being accepted on the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC). DRDO has launched “DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls” through Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR&DB). A total of 30 scholarships are being offered out of which 20 are for undergraduates, and 10 are for postgraduate students. While undergraduate students will receive a scholarship amount of up to Rs 1,20,000 per year, postgraduate students will receive Rs 1,86,000 per year. 

Who Can Apply for DRDO Scholarship 2022 for Girls?

According to the information available on the RAC website, girls or women studying in first year of undergraduate full time four year degree, and postgraduate two year full time degree can apply for the DRDO scholarship provided they are pursuing their degree from the following streams of engineering:

• Aerospace Engineering.
• Aeronautical Engineering.
• Space Engineering.
• Rocketry.
• Avionics.
• Aircraft Engineering.

Important Details of DRDO Scholarship 2022 for Girls

There are 20 scholarships available for undergraduates who are in the first year of the above mentioned disciplines in BE, BTech or BSc engineering. Selected candidates would be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 1,20,000 per year or annual fees, whichever is less for a maximum period of four years. The candidate must be an Indian national and should have a valid JEE (Main) score.

There are 10 scholarships available for postgraduates wherein selected candidates would be eligible for a scholarship of Rs 15,500 per month subject to Rs 1,86,000 per year for a maximum period of two years. Indian nationals Candidate should have secured admission in the 1st year of the current academic year to the relevant ME, MTech, or MSc engineering course with a minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam for getting admission to the subject course as per the guidelines set by AICTE or MHRD. Candidate should also have a valid GATE score.
