DRDO recruitment 2021 is now being conducted for ITI apprentice vacancies available at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory, which is a centre of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. Selected candidates will be engaged at DRDL for a period of one year for the apprenticeship training, and will also be paid a monthly stipend as allowed by Apprenticeship rules. The notification clearly mentions that apprentice trainees will have no right over any temporary or permanent posts at DRDO post the apprenticeship training period.

Who can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2021?

The official notification, which is available on the DRDO website says that candidates with an ITI degree from NCVT or SCVT in the following trades can apply:

  • Fitter
  • Turner
  • Machinist
  • Machinist (Grinder)
  • Pattern maker (including carpenter)
  • Welder
  • Electrician
  • machine tool maintenance
  • Diesel mechanic
  • Mechanic (R&AC)
  • Lab assistant (chemical)
  • Electronics mechanic
  • CNC programmer cum operator (COE)
  • Attendant operator chemical plant
  • Painter
  • Computer networking technician
  • Computer operator and programming assistant (COPA)

Candidates who have already undergone, or are undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2021?

Interested candidates need to first register on the apprenticeshipindia.org website, after which applications in the prescribed with true copies of uploaded documents to bhanuolety@drdl.drdo.in with “Application for ITI Apprenticeship Training at DRDL 2021-2022” before 15 February 2021 at 5.00 pm IST. Applicants must be careful while sending the applications as only completed forms with contact numbers and copies of required certificates will be considered. After the candidates are shortlisted and selected, the apprenticeship training will commence from 1 April 2021.
