DRDO recruitment 2021 will soon be conducted at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) vacancy to work on a project titled “Wear Studies of High Entropy Alloys”. The vacancy is available in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of the institute. The candidate selected for the will be engaged for a period of one year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier, and will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 31,000.

The latest notification issued on the DRDO website says that there is one junior research fellow vacancy for which candidates with a BE, BTech, ME, MTech or MSc or equivalent with valid GATE or NET score from the streams of materials science, materials engineering, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering can apply. Recruited JRFs and fellowship candidates may also be encouraged to register for PhD at the institute through proper channels as per DIAT norms.
“The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidates to be considered at every stage of the selection process. In case of a large number of applications, based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Principal Investigator may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking, the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement, into consideration. Therefore, it is the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the application clearly with supporting documents,” says the notification.
