DRDO recruitment 2021 for engineers is being conducted for junior research fellow vacancies available at the Young Scientist Laboratory Artificial Intelligence, which is a premier centre of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The laboratory has associations with various leading institutes in the country such as IIT, IIITs, and IISc Bangalore among others. Those selected will get to work on artificial intelligence strategies and showcase the potential of AI for defence through early stage solutions. Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000.

Who Can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2021?

The latest DRDO recruitment notification says that there are 4 new junior research fellow vacancies for which candidates with a BE or BTech degree in computer science, computer science and engineering, information technology, electrical engineering, or electronics and communication engineering in first division from AICTE accredited institutes or universities along with a valid UGC NET or GATE score or candidates with a postgraduate professional degree such as ME or MTech in computer science, computer science and engineering, information technology, electrical engineering, or electronics and communication engineering in first division in both graduate and postgraduate level from AICTE accredited institutes or universities can apply.

Applicants are also required to have

• Fundamentals in problem-solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis.
• Applicants should be experts in at least one programming language such as python or Java.
• It is desirable for candidates to have knowledge on artificial intelligence algorithms, machine learning and deep learning techniques.
• Proven experience with software libraries such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, TensorRT, and so on would be an advantage.
