DRDO recruitment 2021 is underway at the Centre for High Energy Systems and Sciences (CHESS), which is a centre of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Hyderabad. Applications have been invited from meritorious Indian nationals, who desire to pursue defence-related research as Research Associate and Junior Research Fellows at the DRDO centre. Those who get selected for Research Associate vacancies will be paid Rs 54,000 per month, and those who get selected as Junior Research Fellows will be paid Rs 31,000 per month.

Who Can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2021?

The latest DRDO recruitment notification says that there are 8 new research vacancies out of which 2 are for Research Associates and 6 are for Junior Research Fellows. The details of the vacancies are as follows:

• There is one Research Associate vacancy for candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree in engineering or science in the area of customized optical system design, atmospheric turbulence correction or adaptive optics or having 3 years of research, teaching or design and development experience after ME or MTech in electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, applied physics or control system with at least one publication in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
• There is one Research Associate vacancy for candidates with a PhD or equivalent degree in engineering or science in the areas related to opto-electronics, photonics, optical design, optical instrumentation, adaptive optics, laser, ultrashort laser beam propagation or having 3 years of research, teaching or design and development experience in areas related to opto-electronics, photonics, optical design, optical instrumentation, adaptive optics, laser, or ultrashort laser beam propagation after ME or MTech in electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, laser technology, applied physics or applied optics with at least one publication in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
• There are 5 JRF vacancies for candidates with a postgraduate degree in science in relevant subject in first division with NET or post graduate degree in professional course such as ME or MTech in relevant subject with first division at both graduate and post graduate level.
• There are 1 JRF vacancy for candidates with a graduate degree in professional course in BE or BTech in first division with NET or GATE or postgraduate degree in professional course in ME or MTech in first division at both graduate and post graduate level.
