DRDO Recruitment 2020: Postgraduates can Apply for Research Vacancies at DFRL, Salary Rs 31,000

DRDO recruitment 2020 is being conducted at the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s centre in Mysore Defence Food Research Laboratory (DRDO). The vacancies available are that of junior research fellow (JRF) for which candidates with a postgraduate degree can apply. Selected candidates will be engaged on a temporary basis and will receive a salary of Rs 31,000 per month as well as house rent allowance as per DRDO rules.

Who can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2020?

The notification issued on the DRDO website says that there are a total of four vacancies for which candidates with the following qualification can apply:

1. Candidates with an MSc in microbiology in first division along with a valid NET or GATE in JRF can apply for one vacancy.
2. Candidates with an MSc in food technology, food science, food science and nutrition, or food science and technology can apply for three vacancies.

Candidates cannot be over 28 years of age; however, a relaxation of 5 years is allowed for SC and ST, and three years for OBC candidates as per the Government of India rules. Junior research fellows will be engaged for a period of two years, which is extendable for one additional year as senior research fellow subject to a satisfactory performance that will be assessed by a designated committee. Award of fellowship does not give the fellow a right to absorption into DRDO, says the notification.

How to Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2020?

Interested and eligible candidates need to apply for a walk-in-interview, which will be conducted at DFRL, Mysore on 6 August 2020. Job aspirants would be required to report at 9:00 am IST for the interview. Application form appended in the official notification will have to be typed and submitted along with copies of testimonials at the time of the walk-in-interview.
