The online application date for DRDO recruitment 2020 which is being conducted for 185 Scientist B vacancies has now been postponed. The online application process, which was earlier supposed to begin on 22 May 5 pm IST has now been postponed to 29 May 2020 by the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC). A message on the RAC website said that the decision was taken due to “technical issues”.
Who can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2020?
The official DRDO Recruitment 2020 notification says the candidates with a full-time first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (BE or BTech) with a valid GATE score can apply for the following vacancies: Electronics and Communication Engineering will – 41 vacancies, Mechanical Engineering – 43 vacancies, Computer Science and Engineering – 32 vacancies, Chemical Engineering – 6 vacancies, Civil Engineering – 3 vacancies, Electrical Engineering – 12 vacancies, and Aeronautical Engineering – 9 vacancies.
Candidates with a first-class Master’s Degree and a valid GATE score can apply against the following vacancies: Physics – 8 vacancies, Chemistry – 7 vacancies, and Mathematics – 4 vacancies. Apart from these, 10 vacancies are available for candidates with a first-class Master’s Degree in Psychology with a valid NET score.
Important Points for DRDO Recruitment 2020 for Scientist B Vacancies
While RAC had earlier notified the last date for online applications to be 10 July 2020, fresh schedules may now have to be announced since the starting date for online applications has been postponed to 29 May 2020. Candidates who apply against the vacancies will be shortlisted, and selected based on their performance in a written examination and interview. Candidates will also have to submit their degrees for verification before 31 August 2020. DRDO Scientist B salary is around Rs 80,000 per month.
