DRDO Recruitment 2020: No, RAC Has Not Invited Fresh Online Applications for 40 Scientist Vacancies

DRDO recruitment 2020 is currently not being conducted by the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) for 40 Scientist vacancies at the Defence Research and Development Organisation. RAC has clarified that the Advertisement 135 that is being circulated is a year old employment that was conducted last year, and the last date o apply under advertisement No. 135 was 19 July 2019 till 5:00 pm IST only.

Viewers also need to note that even the result of shortlisted candidates against the said advertisement for the interview has been uploaded on the RAC website already. Selected candidates shortlisted for the interview had been asked to download their interview letter for the interviews scheduled from 2 March to 30 March 2020.

Nevertheless, in view of the prevailing situation, all the interviews that were scheduled on or after 22 March 2020 have been postponed by RAC, and fresh dates will be communicated separately. The RAC website also mentions that candidates whose interviews were scheduled for 21st March and could not report for the same will also be interviewed on a later date.

The Advertisement 135 for DRDO recruitment was issued in July last year for 40 vacancies for the positions of Scientist C, D, E and F. Out of the 40, 2 vacancies were of Scientist F, 4 vacancies of Scientist E, 13 vacancies of Scientist D, and 21 vacancies of Scientist C. The online applications for the same were made available at the end of June and the last date to apply for the same was 19 July 2019.
