DRDO Recruitment 2019: PXE is Looking to Hire Engineers for 4 JRF Positions, Salary Rs 25,000

A new DRDO recruitment 2019 notification has been issued on the official Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) website mentions the requirement for engineers for 4 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. The positions are available at the Proof & Experimental Establishment (PXE) in Chandipur, Balasore, Odisha. Candidates would be hired based on a walk-in-interview for a period of two years initially, which is extendable to Senior Research Fellow as allowed by rules. Selected candidates would be eligible for a stipend of RS 25,000 plus house rent allowance.

Who can Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

As per the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, there are total of 4 JRF vacancies for which the eligibility criteria is as follows:

One DRDO JRF Vacancy requires the candidate to have first class BE or BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology along with a valid NET or GATE score in Computer Science Engineering.

Two DRDO JRF positions are available for candidates with a first class BE or BTech in Electronics and Communication Technology along with a valid NET or GATE score in Electronics and Communication.

Also, there is one DRDO JRF vacancy available for candidates with first class BE or BTech in Mechanical Engineering with a valid NET or GATE score in Mechanical Engineering.

Furthermore, candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as on 10 July 2019. However, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC and ST, and 3 years for OBC candidates as per government rules. Candidates also need to note the notification clearly mentions that the offer of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances as fellowship is not employment.

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria need to send their duly filled application form via email to director@pxe.drdo.in as per the format provided in the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification on the official DRDO website before 2 July 2019. Candidates need to also bring a copy of the filled application form along with the complete bio-data on the day of the walk-in-interview.

The walk-in-interview would be conducted on 16 July 2019 (Tuesday) at the Proof & Experimental Establishment (PXE) in Chandipur, Balasore, Odisha 756025. The reporting time for the same would be 9 to 9:30 am. A written test may also be conducted and qualified candidates interviewed on the same day.
