DRDO Recruitment 2019: Engineers can Apply for Vacancy at NSTL, Salary Rs 31,000

DRDO recruitment 2019 will be conducted via a walk-in-interview at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam center of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The vacancy available is that of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), which will be available initially for a period of two years and extendable as allowed by rules. The selected candidate will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000 plus house rent allowance.

Who can Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

As per the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, there is one DRDO JRF vacancy available at NSTL and the eligibility criteria required for the same is as follows: BE or BTech in Metallurgical Engineering in first

division along with a valid NET or GATE score OR BE or BTech in Metallurgical Engineering and postgraduate degree in professional course ME or MTech in Metallurgical Engineering. Furthermore, the candidate should have obtained both the degrees in the first division.

The candidate should be below 28 years of age; however, it is relaxable for SC, ST and OBS candidates as per the Government of India rules.

Also, the notification also clearly mentions that the offer of fellowship does not confer on the candidate any right for regular absorption in DRDO under any circumstances as fellowship is not employment.

How to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

Interested and eligible candidates need to first e-mail their bio-data in the given format to admin.dept@nstl.drdo.in by 30 August 2019. The walk-in-interview will be conducted on 14 September 2019 at 9:00 am at Ramanath Secondary School, Naval Science & Technological Laboratory, Vigyan Nagar, Near NAD Junction, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh 530027. A written test, which has negative marking for wrong answers, will first be conducted to shortlist the candidates. Interested candidates could attend the interview with original certificates, mark sheets with attested photocopies of the same, two recent passport size photograph, a valid ID card in original and crossed Indian Postal Order OR Demand Draft of Rs 10 drawn in favor of “The Director, NSTL, Visakhapatnam”. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC are exempted from this payment, says the notification.
