DRDO recruitment 2019 for engineers is soon going to be conducted at the ‘Avionics Hub’ of the Defence Research Organisation. Research Centre Imarat (RCI), which is one of the three DRDO Labs of ‘Missile Complex’, has a requirement of engineers for 15 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions on a temporary basis. RCI was set up by honorable Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam when he was the Director of DRDL. The candidates would be selected for a period of two years initially. Selected candidates are eligible to get paid a salary of RS 31,000 per month plus house rent allowance.
Who can Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?
As per the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification, candidates who have a first class BE or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering (4 vacancies), Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 vacancies), Mechanical Engineering (4 vacancies), Computer Science Engineering (2 vacancies), Chemical Engineering (1 vacancy) or equivalent with a valid NET, SLET, or GATE Score; OR, candidates with a first class ME or MTech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent can apply for the DRDO JRF vacancy.
Furthermore, candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as on 10 July 2019. However, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC and ST, and 3 years for OBC candidates as per government rules. Candidates should have completed the course and awarded their degree, says the DRDO recruitment 2019 notification. The notification also clearly mentions that the offer of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances as fellowship is not employment.

Interested candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria can apply online only on the official RCI website before 10 July 2019. Candidates must fill the correct details on the online application, which will be made available. Candidates will be shortlisted for the written test based on the details entered in the online application, and candidates shall be called for interview based on their performance in the written test.
