DRDO recruitment 2019 for engineers has been announced for the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) Kochi, Kerala, for 6 Junior Research Fellow vacancies. Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in-interview and eligible candidates would be chosen for the position of JRF. Selected candidates would be selected for a period of two years and are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000 plus house rent allowance.

As per the official notification issued on the DRDO website, there are 6 vacancies of which 4 are anticipated vacancies. The eligibility criteria required for the vacancies are BE or BTech in first division along with valid NET or GATE score OR ME or MTech in first division in both graduate and postgraduate levels in the following streams: Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
There are also three anticipated vacancies for candidates with a postgraduate degree in basic science pertaining to Oceanography, Physics or Applied Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry in first division with valid NET qualification. Interested and eligible candidates can appear for a walk-in-interview at 09:00 am IST on 20 October 2019 at Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya in the campus of Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Thrikkakara PO, Kochi 682021. All original certificates need to be produced at the time of the interview. The candidates need to also bring an original government-issued ID proof along with one recent colour passport size photograph at the time of the interview.
