DRDO Recruitment 2019: DRDO Laboratory Looking to Hire Electronics and Computer Science Engineers, Salary Rs 25,000

A DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification updated on the DAVP website states that the DRDO laboratory Centre for Advanced Systems (CAS) is looking to hire engineers for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. The fellowship would be initially valid for a period of two years but is extendable as per rules. Selected candidates are eligible to get paid a salary of Rs 25,000, and house rent allowance and medical facilities shall be provided as allowed by government rules says the DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification.

Who is Eligible to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

As per the DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification, Indian nationals who are not over 28 years of age on the date of receipt of application (relaxable for SC and ST candidates) can apply for the DRDO JRF vacancy provided they have the following qualifications:

There are a totals of two JRF vacancies available of which one DRDO JRF vacancy is for engineers in Electronics/ Electronics and Communications/ Instrumentation with a BE or BTech in first division from a recognized university along with a valid NET or GATE score; or ME or MTech in Electronics engineering with a first class degree in both graduation and post-graduation level.

Another vacancy is for Computer Science engineers with a BE or BTech in first division from a recognized university along with a valid NET or GATE score; or, ME or MTech in Computer Science Engineering with a first class degree in both graduation and post-graduation level.

The notification also clearly mentions that award of fellowship does not confer any right on the fellow of regular absorption into DRDO.

How to Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

As per the DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification, interested candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria need to send a typewritten application in the format mentioned in the notification, and send it to Director CAS, Yadgarpally(V), keesar (M), Hyderabad 501301 along with copies of self-attested marksheets, degree certificates, and other testimonials. The applications need to reach within 21 days before the date of application of the advertisement, and considering the date mentioned on the DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification being 8 May 2019, candidates would be safe sending in the applications by 29 May 2019.

Also, a crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs 10, drawn in the favor of Director CAS, Yadgarpally(V), keesar (M), Hyderabad needs to be sent along with the application. However, SC and ST candidates are exempted from paying this amount. Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test or interview. Candidates are also required to quote the advertisement number along the name of the post applied for over the envelope. It would be prudent on the part of interested candidates to go through the detailed notification before applying for the job.
