DRDO Recruitment 2019: DRDO to Hire Engineers for JRF Positions, Salary Rs 25,000

A fresh DRDO Recruitment 2019 notification is doing the rounds on the Internet. As per the notification, Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Visakhapatnam is looking to hire five Junior Research Fellows, and interested and eligible candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview to be held at NSTL, Visakhapatnam.

Who Can Apply for the DRDO Recruitment 2019 JRF Positions?

The notification states that Mechanical Engineers, Electrical & Electronics Engineers (EEE/ECE/E&I), and Computer Science Engineers (Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology) with a first division BE/BTech degree and a valid NET/GATE score or first division ME/MTech holders in both graduate and post graduate level can appear for the walk-in-interview. The number of positions available for Mechanical Engineers is one, Electrical & Electronics Engineers is one, and Computer Science Engineers is three. The candidates must not exceed 28 years of age on the date of the interview. However, the upper age limit would be relaxable for the candidate's belongings to SC, ST and OBC as per rules laid down by the government of India.

How will the Candidates be Selected for DRDO Recruitment 2019?

The potential candidates are required to e-mail their bio-data in the prescribed format to admin.dept@nstl.drdo.in by 03 May 2019. A written test of one hour duration and 100 marks with 25 multiple choice questions will then be conducted to shortlist them for the interview. Negative markig for wrong answers are applicable. A panel of selected candidates will be prepared for available and future fellowships. The panel will operate for a period of one year from the date of interview, says the notification.

The walk-in-interview will be conducted on 15 May 2019 at 9:00 hrs at Ramanath Secondary School, Naval Science & Technological Laboratory, Vigyan Nagar, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are adviced to go through the detailed advertisement before applying for the positions available. Selected candidates would be eligible for a salary of Rs 25,000 per month plus house rent allowance as permissible.
