DRDO recruitment 2019 will soon be conducted at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) for purely temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Voluntary Project Interns to work for a DRDO funded project entitled “Augmented Reality based maintenance Trainer for Tejas Fighter Jet”. Although DIAT is an autonomous organization, it is funded by Department of Defence Research and Development, Ministry of Defence. Selected JRF candidates will be engaged for a period of one year and given a stipend of Rs 31,000 per month.

Who can Apply for the DRDO recruitment 2019 at DIAT?

As per the notification issued on the DIAT website, there are two JRF positions available for which candidates with BE, BTech OR ME, MTech in Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent with GATE qualification can apply. It is desirable for the candidates to have good knowledge of augmented reality, virtual reality, computer programming, graphics, or wireless networking animation. Having a hands-on experience with JAVA, Unity3D, Vuforia, or Android programming would be an added advantage.

There are four voluntary intern positions available as well for which students in their final year of ME, MTech, or BE, BTech in Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering can apply. Voluntary interns are not eligible for a stipend.

How to Apply for the DRDO recruitment 2019 at DIAT?

Interested and eligible candidates need to send an application in the format available on the DIAT website, along with a brief bio-data scanned in PDF via email ID to the Principal Investigator SUTHIKSHNKUMAR@DIAT.DRDO.in with a subject titled “Application for JRF/Voluntary Project Interns” on or before 21 October 2019. The names of the candidate shortlisted for interview will be made available on the DIAT website and an email will be sent to suitable candidates. Shortlisted candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview to be held on 1 November 2019 at 10:00 am. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to go through the notification in detail before applying for the posts.
