DRDO has announced 150 apprenticeship training positions at its Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru
DRDO is currently accepting online applications for 150 apprenticeship training positions from eligible candidates for graduate, diploma, ITI in engineering and general stream such as BCom, BSc and BA for apprenticeship training for the financial year 2022-23. Selected candidates will be engaged at the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru for a period of one year only under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961. While graduate apprentices will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 9000, diploma apprentices will be paid Rs 8000 and ITI trade apprentices will be paid Rs 7000.
Who Can Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship Training?
The DRDO apprenticeship training notification issued on the official website says that there are 150 apprenticeship training vacancies out of which 75 are for candidates with a BE, BTech or equivalent in the following streams of engineering:

| Aeronautical or aerospace engineering | 15 |
| Electricals and electronics, electronics and communication, electronics and instrumentation, or telecom engineering | 10 |
| Computer science or computer engineering, or information science and technology engineering | 15 |
| Metallurgy or material science engineering | 4 |
| Civil engineering or equivalent | 1 |
There are 20 technician apprentice vacancies for candidates with a diploma in the following streams:

There are 25 apprentice vacancies for candidates with an ITI recognised by SCVT or NCVT in the following streams:

How to Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship?
Interested and eligible candidates will have to first register on apprenticeshipindia.org and MHRDNATS portal depending on their degree, and then apply on the Arc website before 14 March 2022. Those who wish to apply are advised to go through the official notification in detail for more information.
