DRDO Invites Applications for ITI Apprenticeship Training at its Centre DMRL

DRDO has invited applications from ITI technicians for 30 apprenticeship positions available at DMRL, which is its centre in Hyderabad

DRDO is accepting applications to engage ITI Apprentices for a one-year apprenticeship training at the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), which is a centre of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) at Hyderabad. There are a total of 30 apprenticeship training positions available, and a stipend will be provided as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 (Amended 2015, 2019).

Who Can Apply for the DRDO Apprenticeship Training at DMRL?

The official notification issued on the DRDO website says that there are 30 positions available for which candidates with an ITI certificate from NCVT and SCVT in the following trades may apply:

Candidates who have already undergone or who are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Act 1961 as well as those with over one year of work experience are not eligible to apply, says the notification.

How to Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship Training at DMRL?

Candidates need to first register themselves and apply for the positions in the apprenticeshipindia.org portal. The respective position will be displayed under positions available at Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory. After that, applicants will have to email their application form to Dadmin@dmrl.drdo.in on or before 31 March 2021. In the subject line of the email, "Application for Apprentices - (Trade)" should be written.

Documents Needed After Selection for DRDO Apprenticeship Training at DMRL

Once selected, candidates will have to submit the following documents at the time of joining:

  • Police verification certificate from their local police station, and conduct or character certificate from the head of the previous educational institute.
  • A physical fitness certificate from a civil assistant surgeon.
  • SSC, ITI certificate, Caste or PWD certificates. An expired OBC certificate will not be considered.
  • A Copy of the candidate’s bank passbook, Aadhaar card, and one recent passport size photograph.
