DRDO Invites Applications from Engineers for Vacancy in Young Scientist Laboratory

DRDO has announced a junior research fellow vacancy at its Young Scientist Laboratory in cognitive technology (DYSL-CT) in Chennai. DYSL-CT deals with research and development of cognitive radio, cognitive radar and cognitive surveillance fields. In addition to that, the laboratory also has associations with eminent institutes such as IIT, Central and State Universities and other leading academic institutions. 

Who Can Apply for DRDO Vacancy at Young Scientist Laboratory?

DRDO says that candidates with a BE or BTech degree in computer science, computer engineering or information science in first division from an AICTE accredited institute or university along with CSIR-UGC (NET) or GATE qualification can apply for the vacancies. Also, post graduate students with an ME or MTech in computer science, computer engineering or information science in first division in both graduation and postgradution from an AICTE accredited institute or university can apply. However, candidates will also have to be proficient in the following fields:

1. Proficiency in design of algorithms.

2. Having excellent programming skills of C, C++ and Python.

3. Experience in utilizing open source system development framework.

4. Knowledge of machine learning algorithm.

Candidates who wish to apply for the vacancies should not be above the age of 28 years. However, an age relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates, and of 3 years for OBC candidates will be allowed as per Government of India rules. Also, those who have already worked as a junior research fellow in any of the DRDO laboratories, centres or establishments cannot apply for the vacancy.

Interested and eligible candidates will have to appear for a walk in interview at the DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory in cognitive technology, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) E-Block, 5" Floor, ITM Research park, Taramani, Chennai  600113 on 31 March 2023.
