DRDO Invites Applications for Online Course on Artificial Intelligence, Certificate to be Given

DRDO, through its institute the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DU), is offering a 12 week online course on artificial intelligence and machine learning. DRDO says that the intent of the course is to deliver the essential knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning to serve the needs of skilled artificial intelligence professionals to work on the multidisciplinary research ongoing in different research laboratories and industries in the country.

The course will be conducted by academicians, and experts from the Department of Defence Research and Development, as well as national and international artificial intelligence professionals from industry and AI think tanks. The course will be conducted online, so participants will be able to attend from anywhere. However, there will be an entrance test to test the eligibility of the candidate for the course.

What the DRDO Course on Artificial Intelligence Will Cover?

Participants who take the course will be introduced to a combination of fundamentals and advanced topics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Some of the topics that will be covered are as follows:

• Probability theory and pattern recognition.
• Machine learning and deep learning.
• Computer vision.
• Big data analysis and algorithms.
• Natural language processing.
• Augmented reality.

Who Can Take the DRDO Course on Artificial Intelligence?

The course is open for graduates from any discipline as well as final year students. In addition to them,  IT professionals who wish to enhance their artificial intelligence skills, officers from tri-services, R&D professionals, or anyone who wants to develop expertise in the field of AI can apply. However, the following are some of the pre-requisites required for the course:

• Modular mathematics, statistics, and probability theory.
• Basics of algorithms, databases, and data structures.
• Knowledge of any programming language.

Important Details of the DRDO Course on Artificial Intelligence?

Participants who wish to take the course may also go through the following important details:

• The course will cost Rs 29,500 for participants.
• The course will begin from 12 June 2023, and will be conducted for a period of 12 weeks for 2 hours every day for 5 days a week.
• The last date to register for the the course is 25 May, and the last date to pay the fees is 5 June 2023.
• Upon successfully completing the course, participants will be given certificates.
