DRDO Invites Applications for 7 New Research Vacancies, Stipend up to Rs 54,000

DRDO is currently accepting applications from eligible candidates for 7 research vacancies available at its centre the Defence Research Laboratory (DRL) situated in Assam. There are both research associate and junior research fellow vacancies available for which doctoral degree holders and postgraduate students may apply. Those selected for the research associate vacancies will be engaged for a period of two years and will be paid a stipend of Rs 54,000, and those selected for the junior research fellow vacancies will be paid Rs 31,000 and will be engaged up to five years.

Who can Apply for DRDO Recruitment at DRL?

The latest DRDO notification says that there are a total of three vacancies out of which three are for research associates and four are for junior research fellows. The details of the educational qualifications required for the vacancies are as follows:

• For the three research associate vacancies candidates with a PhD in zoology, entomology, horticulture, food science and technology, microbiology, biotechnology, environmental science or life sciences can apply. The maximum age of the candidate should not be over 35 years.
• For two junior research fellow vacancies candidates with an MTech or ME in textile engineering or MSc in biotechnology with NET qualification or MPharm can apply.
• There are two more junior research fellow vacancies for which candidates with an MSc in botany, microbiology, biotechnology, environmental science or life sciences with NET qualification can apply. The maximum age of the candidate should not be over 27 years to apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy.
