DRDO Extends Last Date for Submission of Certificates for 311 Scientist B Vacancies

DRDO has extended the last date for uploading the essential qualification degree certificate or marksheets as well as caste or category certificates for the 311 Scientist B vacancies notified in May 2020. This decision has been taken due to the delay in the declaration of final year examination results by some universities and the prevailing pandemic situation.

The last date to submit these documents for the vacancies available in DRDO and ADA online is now 17 November 2020. Candidates need to note that the online application process for these vacancies has already concluded. Furthermore, the candidates who have appeared in the UGC NET June 2020 examination will be allowed to upload their NET certificate or scorecard within 15 days of the declaration of NET June 2020 results. UGC NET and GATE scores are mandatory for applying for Scientist B vacancies at the Defence Research and Development Organisation.

Some other information issued by DRDO regarding the vacancies is as follows:

• Interview call letters to shortlisted candidates for Part-II disciplines will be issued by third week of December 2020
• Interviews will be conducted for Part-II disciplines in January 2021
• Admit cards will be issued to candidates shortlisted for the descriptive examination for Part-I disciplines in January 2021
• Descriptive examinations will be conducted for Part-I disciplines in mid-February 2021
• Interview call letters will be issued to shortlisted candidates for Part-I disciplines in the last week of March 2021, and interviews in April or May 2021.
• Schedule of interviews for Part-III disciplines will depend upon the date of declaration of NET June 2020 results.
• PwD candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in November 2020, and the interviews will be conducted in December 2020, says the official notification issued on the Recruitment and Assessment Centre website.
