DRDO apprenticeship 2023 has been announced at DRDL, and selected candidates will be engaged for a period of one year under Apprentices Act

DRDO apprenticeship 2023 has been announced at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL). There are various ITI apprentice vacancies wherein selected candidates will be engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for a period of one year. Once selected, candidates should report to DRDL, Hyderabad within ten working days or else their engagement for training will automatically be terminated says the notification. A monthly stipend as allowed by rules will also be paid to selected candidates.

Who Can Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship 2023?

The latest DRDO job notification says that candidates who are ITI pass and who have passed the qualifying exam and certified by NCVT from the following streams can apply:

  • Fitter.
  • Turner.
  • Machinist or grinder.
  • Carpenter.
  • Welder.
  • Electrician.
  • Diesel mechanic.
  • Electronics mechanic.
  • Attendant operator chemical plant.
  • Painter.
  • Computer operator and programming assistant (COPA).
  • Draughtsman (civil).
  • Foundryman.

Applicants who wish to apply for these posts should not be undergoing apprenticeship at DRDL or anywhere else at present. Furthermore, applicants should not have over one year of job experience as well. 

How to Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship 2023?

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit applications online on the official DRDL website as well as the NATS portal before 10 February 2023 before 4 PM. Application forms will have to be completed along with all relevant details such as phone numbers and relevant educational documents. Incomplete application forms and applications where the data does not match with the documents will be rejected, says the notification. The training will most likely begin from April 2023 onwards.

Important Details of the DRDO Apprenticeship 2023

Along with all the details mentioned above, it would be noteworthy for applicants to also take a look at the following:

  • All shortlisted will be informed through either calls or SMS, and no other modes of intimation will be used.
  • If a candidate goes on unauthorised leave from the apprenticeship for 15 days, then the apprenticeship training will be automatically terminated.
  • Shortlisted candidates must bring all original relevant certificates along with two recent passport size photographs at the time of verification or interview.
  • Upon completion of training, apprentices will not have any claim over any temporary or permanent job at the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
