DRDO Announces Research Associate Vacancies, Salary Rs 54,000

DRDO announces three new research associate vacancies at the Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), a centre of the organisation in Assam

DRDO has invited applications from eligible candidates for three new research associate vacancies available in the Defence Research Laboratory (DRL) in Tezpur, Assam. DRL, is a centre of the Defence Research and Development Organisation, that is focused on research and development studies on vector-borne diseases, improving the quality of drinking water, waste biodegradation and management, high altitude horticulture and protective cultivation for hilly and border areas, and development of various products for use by defence forces. Those selected will be engaged for a temporary period of two years, and will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 54,000.

Who Can Apply for DRDO Vacancies?

The latest notification on DRDO vacancies says that there are three new research associate positions for which candidates with a PhD in the following streams can apply:

• Biotechnology.
• Microbiology.
• Virology.
• Environmental science.
• Chemistry.
• Polymer science.
• Material science.
• Textile engineering.
• Horticulture and related fields.

There is an upper age limit of 35 years that has been set for the research associate vacancies. However, the age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC or ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. Nevertheless, a certificate in original needs to be produced in support of the claim at the time of interview. The cutoff date for age and education qualification is 17 June 2022.

Interested and eligible candidates will have to appear for a walk-in-interview on 17 June 2022 at DRL at 10:00 am.  All interested candidates must submit their biodata, with personal information and contact details, educational and professional experience on the date of interview.
