Being a product company, JDA has its share of challenges. The company feels that in parameters like compensation, it should be compared with product companies; disparities come when it is compared with services companies. The company believes that it has a well-rounded compensation mechanism and finds a lower scores on the same more perception related.

Yet another area it is defensive about is performance management. JDA's HR head says company has what it calls the ‘JDA Performer' through which all employees are comprehensively and amply rewarded for work done. Meanwhile on the high side, the company managed to create a very good appraisal system, which is generally viewed by employees as transparent. Interestingly, while compensation got a shade lower score, the employees gave high scores to benefits. This the company attributes to benefits like comprehensive medical insurance plans covering both employees and their families.
